Access to Higher Education (Health Professionals) - Level 3

You will be 19 or older on or before the 31^st August 2026.

You will hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths.

Learners with a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English or Maths may be accepted onto the course but will require an interview with the course coordinator.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professionals).

This course is taught as a full-time course which runs one and a half days a week over one year.

Due to the intensity of this course, it will require an element of independent study.

• Essays
• Reports
• Fact files
• Individual research
• Presentations
• Group discussions
• Timed assessments

Details of work experience in various sectors will be provided.

English will be including being taught study techniques such as extracting evaluation from written text.

Maths will be including being taught research methods such as the use of correlations and genetic hereditary traits.

Upon successful completion of this course, you can go on to study for a university degree in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Foundation Degree, or Higher National Certificate/Higher National Diploma qualifications.
