Job Title: Work Experience Coordinator
Time spent at Kidderminster College: 15 years
I have worked at Kidderminster College since 2007 and for many years I was a member of the learning support team providing in-class and 1:1 support to ensure learners could access their learning and fulfill their potential. My role now is to support full-time learners find and complete relevant and rewarding work experience placements.
Work experience is important and has many benefits for future career prospects. It will help you develop the transferable and technical skills you will need and broaden your industry contacts so you can set your sights on that perfect job role.
I will support you through the process, liaising with employers and tutors to ensure the placement is a success and exceeds your expectations. I am here for any questions and concerns and will track your progress to ensure you feel confident, motivated and ready for placement.
The role keeps me busy but in my spare time it is good to get outdoors so I enjoy walking in the Wyre Forest and if the weather is not so good then it is indoor pastimes including sewing and crafting. After celebrating a special birthday, I completed a charity abseil and that is something I would love to do again.
