Construction

Our Construction department boasts a rich history of providing hands-on practical experience. With the recent addition of our purpose-built Green Technology Centre, located just a 5-minute drive from the main campus, you will have access to cutting-edge facilities and study spaces that will elevate their education.

We offer both full-time and part-time courses, along with apprenticeships and a higher education programme, ensuring there's a course for you.

All of our courses are taught by instructors boasting years of industry experience, ensuring that you can gain up-to-date insights into your selected trade. You will also have the chance to work with cutting-edge equipment.

Tutor - Carpentry

With over 47 years in the construction industry, I bring a wealth of hands-on and leadership expertise to carpentry and site management. As a Carpentry Tutor and WorldSkills UK-endorsed trainer, I combine 10 years of practical site carpentry experience with 30 years of site management, delivering high standards in both education and execution. My commitment to excellence has been nationally recognised, earning multiple Health & Safety awards and three prestigious NHBC “Top 100 Site Manager” accolades. I specialise in promoting safe working practices and driving quality construction outcomes. My approach blends technical skill, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. I’m passionate about developing future tradespeople and aim to instil professionalism, craftsmanship, and safety-first values in every learner.

Adam Griffin

Green Technology Centre Manager

As a dedicated Site Manager, I oversee the centre's daily operations and support learners in their journey toward achieving their qualifications. My responsibilities include managing four departments: Motor Vehicle, Vehicle Respraying, Bricklaying, and Property Maintenance Operations, offering qualifications ranging from Level 1 to Level 3, as well as apprenticeship programs in these areas. With a background as a fully qualified motor mechanic and vehicle respraying tutor for eight years, I bring hands-on expertise to my role in management.
