Art, Design and Media

At Kidderminster College we have many full-time courses as well as a Higher Education programme to help you grow and develop your passion for Art, Design and Media.

Our state-of-the-art facilities, including a newly established IT suite, Apple Suite, and an art studio, are all aimed at nurturing your skills. No matter which creative path you aspire to follow, our Art, Design and Media courses will allow you to learn from our industry-experienced tutors, build a strong creative portfolio and gain invaluable work experience.

Keith Temple

Tutor - Media

I teach Level 3 Creative Media here at Kidderminster. I’m passionate about helping students achieve their educational goals whilst at the same time I work with them to establish and build the professional skills necessary for progression onto higher education and careers in the creative industries. Starting off in documentaries, I have an extensive background in writing for TV, film, theatre and novels - working on shows like EastEnders, Emmerdale, Casualty, Doctors, Doc Martin and Dr Who. I continue to balance my professional practice in the arts with my role as educator.

Glyn Taylor-Marshall

Tutor - Art and Design & Performing Arts

My specialist area is in the arts, where I am versed in most mediums, e.g. performance skills/theatre, fine art, and contemporary/conceptual processes, including Live Art. I hold a BA in Fine art and an MA in Performance Studies. My teaching degree also specialises in learners with additional needs, and I hold a further qualification at Level 5 in Special Needs Education. I am an avid record collector, and I feel it is important to introduce my learners to all parts of popular culture, including music, politics and current ethical topics.

Richard Boxley

Tutor - Creative Industries Top-Up & Music

Most of my professional life has been devoted to developing and supporting musicians to thrive and unlock their creative potential, discovering their own unique style and voice. Music is a passion for me, whether it be listening to undiscovered artists, creating music in innovative new ways, or developing the next generation of artists.
