Sport – Working in Sport – Level 2

Level 2 in Sport - Working in Sport Diploma is designed to provide a strong understanding of the sports and leisure sector, providing you with industry specific knowledge to prepare you for a career in the sporting world.

During this qualification, you'll study wider aspects of sport including understanding business in sport, preparing to work within the leisure industry, planning and running a sports event, looking at nutrition and exercise and much more!

    • 3 GCSEs at grades 4 or above to include English and Maths

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    At the end of this 1 year programme you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure.

  • How will this course be delivered?

    This practical based course will be delivered through:-

    • Presentations
    • Task-based exercises
    • Practical demonstrations
    • 1:1 support
    • Tutorials and lectures

    This study programme will be taught over 16 hours over four days and will be delivered at Kidderminster College Main Campus alongside local sporting facilities

    Classes generally run between 9am-5pm but may vary.

    Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.

    Throughout this course, you will be assessed on each unit via:-

    • Practical assignments
    • Coursework
    • Presentations
    • Class work

    You will be awarded a pass or a fail on successful completion of each unit.

    Whilst on this course we would expect you to bring equipment to classes to assist with completing lesson takes, such as:-
