At our acclaimed working salon, Elements, you’ll gain hands-on experience with real, paying clients while being supported by our team of experienced professionals. This allows you to build genuine confidence and skills in a real salon setting.

Through a blend of practical training and classroom-based learning, you’ll develop the technical abilities required for your chosen career. You’ll also gain valuable experience in client care, managing appointments and payments, and delivering excellent customer service.

Tutor - Hairdressing

I am an experienced Hairdressing Lecturer. My primary goal is to enable learners to realise their full potential and achieve their career goals. My passion lies in creating enjoyable and effective learning environments where I share knowledge and impart valuable skills and expertise. With a strong focus on practical skills, industry relevance, and employability, I aim to prepare students for success in the ever-evolving world of hairdressing. As a Hairdressing Lecturer, I go beyond teaching, supporting learners with critical skills and pastoral care. In my new role as a Leading Practitioner, I am dedicated to helping colleagues and contributing to a collaborative learning community.

I bring many years of teaching experience and practical expertise to our Beauty Department, with diverse roles in the beauty industry. From salons, spas, and trainers to working in Harley Street, each experience has enriched my understanding of this field. I aim not only to educate but also to inspire future beauty professionals. I aim to fuel a passion for learning, embracing the innovation that propels the beauty industry forward. I strive to create an engaging, stimulating learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on application. I am dedicated to nurturing a learning environment that bridges academic knowledge with practical beauty industry insights, preparing students for successful careers and adapting to the industry’s ever-evolving landscape.

Daily tasks:

Ensures financial accounts for the business are maintained.
Demonstrates, advises on and sells hair and/or beauty products.
Checks and maintains any equipment, and ensures that all safety requirements are met.
Undertakes and/or directs hair treatments and/or beauty therapy.
Ensures clients.
Provides clients with information and advice on styles and treatments, and resolves any complaints or problems.
Controls the allocation, training and remuneration of staff.
Determines staffing, financial, material and other short- and long-term needs.
