    Joshua Prior

    Joshua Prior

    Tutor - Media

    Joshua Prior is a local filmmaker, actor and recent graduate from the University of Worcester, where along with First Class Honours, was awarded the Robert Burley Memorial Award for New Talent in Filmmaking. Beyond his studies, Josh has had the opportunity to work on personal passion projects in film and content creation, which resulted in winning the Best UK Feature award at the Realtime International Film Festival, as well as interviews with Worcester University’s Press Office and BBC Hereford & Worcester. Mostly working as an assistant director, Josh has gained experience in managing film sets, facilitating the best environment for creatives to thrive. He aims provide the same experience for his students.

    Tutor - Art and Design

    My specialist area is in the arts, where I am versed in most mediums, e.g. performance skills/theatre, fine art, and contemporary/conceptual processes, including Live Art. I hold a BA in Fine art and an MA in Performance Studies. My teaching degree also specialises in learners with additional needs, and I hold a further qualification at Level 5 in Special Needs Education. I am an avid record collector, and I feel it is important to introduce my learners to all parts of popular culture, including music, politics and current ethical topics.

    What can I do with a qualification in Art, Design and Media?

    • Reports on IT activities to senior management.
    • Plans and monitors work and maintenance schedules to ensure agreed service levels are achieved.

    • Takes responsibility for managing the development of a specialist aspect of IT provision such as user support, network operations, service delivery or quality control.
    • Liaises with users, senior staff and internal/external clients to clarify IT requirements and development needs.
    • Plans, coordinates and manages the organisation.

    • Chooses writers, scripts, technical staff and performers, and assumes overall responsibility for completion of project on time and within budget.
