Equipped with a nursing bed, standing aid, hoist, anatomical models, and resus dolls, our Health Suite provides our Health and Social Care students with practical, hands on experience

Welcome to the new Health Suite at Kidderminster College, a vital resource for our healthcare students. Exposure to essential medical equipment including a nursing bed, standing aid, hoist, anatomical models, and resus dolls, ensures that our graduates are well prepared for a career in healthcare.

The nursing bed facilitates hands-on patient care training, improving students' bedside skills and knowledge of patient comfort. Our standing aid enhances their understanding of mobility assistance, while the hoist promotes safe patient lifting and transfer practices. Anatomical models provide an immersive learning experience, facilitating a better grasp of complex medical concepts and human anatomy.

Additionally, our resus dolls simulate real-life emergencies, enabling students to develop life-saving skills such as CPR and advanced cardiac life support.

Where will I be studying?

Our Health suite is based in our Main Campus on Market Street, Kidderminster. Students studying Health and Social Care or our new T-Level in Health will have access to our Health suite during practical work, to gain an insight into the facilities used in the Health industry.

What facilities can I use outside of my studies?

We aim to provide our students with an excellent learning experience that gives them the practical skills to make a difference within the industry. At college, you'll embrace your independence, make lifelong friends and access our award-winning facilities and activities.

At Kidderminster College, we aim to give you as many opportunities as possible to have fun alongside your studies, including guest speakers, work experience, trips and on-campus events.

Are there places to eat and socialise?

While using our Health Suit on our Main Campus on Market Street, you'll have access to our on-site Cafe Relish, which provides hot and cold food, drinks, and a space to sit and eat.

If you don't fancy that, you can walk straight into the town centre, which hosts a variety of food places, including McDonald's, Greggs, Subway, and Costa Coffee. Within walking distance are shops, including Tesco, Morrisons, and Aldi.

Do you have study areas for students?

We have a number of areas for students to sit down, relax and study, including a shared space, mezzanine and our Student Experience Centre, all based on our Main Campus on Market Street, where our Health Suit is based.

My career showcases a commitment to creating inspiring learning environments and promoting growth and excellence. Starting as an advocate for early childhood development, I've evolved into a leadership role as Head of Department. With my expertise, I aim to drive positive change and inspire the next generation of learners and educators.
