“Taking on an apprentice gives us the opportunity to develop new talent and teach them the correct ways of working. We’ve been involved with apprenticeships for around 10 years and have taken on five apprentices during that time.

Dan has really impressed us during his first six months with the company. He’s mature for his age, punctual, gets stuck in and always tries his best. He’s developed a good understanding of the tasks we give him, from using the correct tools and treating customers’ homes with respect, to developing the way of thinking we encourage as a business.

Apprenticeships are important to us because they help develop the next generation of workers and allow us to pass valuable skills down within the industry. Taking on an apprentice isn’t a gamble. Giving them the time and support to develop becomes an investment in the long run, while also giving young people the opportunity to build a meaningful career.
