A good understanding of the English language – due to the word heavy nature of some of the questions

Level 1 qualification in maths. Perfect preparation for study of GCSE maths or to help with school children’s homework.

Functional Skills Maths Level 1 will assist you in displaying a solid understanding of the foundational concepts and principles of mathematics, as well as the ability to use mathematical reasoning to solve routine issues in everyday contexts.

The course will be delivered in a classroom setting through whole class activities as well as more specific 1:1 activities. You will receive tailored support to help you work on the areas of maths that you need in order to pass the assessment.

A calculator and non-calculator paper under exam conditions. These can be retaken throughout the year.
