More about the course

Are you looking to gain a GCSE in maths to access your future education, career plans or maybe for the challenge? You might be returning to education after a break or employed and needing a flexible option. Apply for our part-time course where you will be fully supported to improve your skills, confidence and achieve your qualification by our experienced and friendly teaching staff. The class will run for 3 hours each week and you will have plenty of resources and support to enable you to study independently too.

The course starts in September

Entry requirements:

Grade 3/D in Maths
Or Level 2 Functional Skills Maths

If you have not achieved these, we will decide upon your suitability with an assessment during the application process.

What will I achieve?

GCSE in Maths

What will I learn?

Numbers
Algebra
Ratio, proportion and rates of change
Geometry and measure
Statistics and probability

How is the course taught?

Classroom sessions, with access to our VLE, practice papers and digital resources to use outside of these sessions.

How am I assessed?

Informal and formal assessments throughout the course to check on your progress. 3 GCSE exams during May/June.
