More about the course

This qualification provides learners with the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment. It will enable learners to understand the development of children and young people, safeguarding their welfare, and communication and professional relationships.

It is aimed at learners working in support roles within schools and colleges.

How often does this course run?

This course runs on a Wednesday evening, starting in September, finishing in June.

You will be notified of the next available start date once you have submitted your application.

Entry requirements:

Experience working in the childcare sector
English and Maths Grade 4 and above
Enhanced DBS check

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

How is the course taught?

One evening - usually Wednesday 6-9pm OR, if numbers permit, One day time, 9.30-12.30.

Day to be confirmed.

Minimum 6 hours in placement per week.

How am I assessed?

You will complete a range of tasks including essays, individual research, group presentations. Practical skills will be observed in placement.
