Elements Hair & Beauty Salon is a distinguished, award-winning educational facility with three salons designed for commercial client use and enriching educational sessions. Our unique learning environment provides students with unparalleled opportunities to engage in various treatments while interacting closely with diverse clients

At Elements, we take pride in actively participating in prestigious competitions, including World Skills Hair & Beauty, AHT, and NCG Skills. These competitions offer students valuable insights into the industry, allowing them to travel to new locations and seize the chance to win exciting prizes. We've been honoured to host the World Skills Hair & Beauty Regional competitions at Kidderminster College for three consecutive years.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the carefully curated selection of brands and educators associated with Elements Salons, such as VTCT, L'oreal, L'oreal Access, VTVT Pivot Point, Dermalogica, OPI, Silhouette Beauty, IQ, and Kaeso. These collaborations ensure that our students receive top-notch education and exposure to the latest advancements in the industry.

Where will I be studying?

Our Elements Salon is based in our Main Campus on Market Street, Kidderminster. Students studying Hair and Beauty will have access to our Elements Salon during practical work, to gain an insight into the facilities used in the Hair and Beauty industry.

What facilities can I use outside of my studies?

We aim to provide our students with an excellent learning experience that gives them the practical skills to make a difference within the industry. At college, you'll embrace your independence, make lifelong friends and access our award-winning facilities and activities.

At Kidderminster College, we aim to give you as many opportunities as possible to have fun alongside your studies, including guest speakers, work experience, trips and on-campus events.

Are there places to eat and socialise?

In the Main Campus on Market Street, our Cafe Relish is on-site, providing hot and cold food, drinks and a space to sit and eat.

If you don't fancy that, you can walk straight into the town centre, which hosts a variety of food places, including McDonald's, Greggs, Subway and Costa Coffee. In walking distance, there are shops also, including Tesco's, Morrisons and Aldi.

Do you have study areas for students?

On the Main Campus in Market Street, we have a number of areas for students to sit down, relax and study, including a common space, mezzanine and our Student Experience Centre.

I bring many years of teaching experience and practical expertise to our Beauty Department, with diverse roles in the beauty industry. From salons, spas, and trainers to working in Harley Street, each experience has enriched my understanding of this field. I aim not only to educate but also to inspire future beauty professionals. I aim to fuel a passion for learning, embracing the innovation that propels the beauty industry forward. I strive to create an engaging, stimulating learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on application. I am dedicated to nurturing a learning environment that bridges academic knowledge with practical beauty industry insights, preparing students for successful careers and adapting to the industry’s ever-evolving landscape.

I am an experienced Hairdressing Lecturer. My primary goal is to enable learners to realise their full potential and achieve their career goals. My passion lies in creating enjoyable and effective learning environments where I share knowledge and impart valuable skills and expertise. With a strong focus on practical skills, industry relevance, and employability, I aim to prepare students for success in the ever-evolving world of hairdressing. As a Hairdressing Lecturer, I go beyond teaching, supporting learners with critical skills and pastoral care. In my new role as a Leading Practitioner, I am dedicated to helping colleagues and contributing to a collaborative learning community.
