Residents from Foley Grange Care Home and students from Kidderminster College came together on Friday 23 October for the Kidderminster Community Fashion Show, raising funds for KEMP Hospice and celebrating the power of community partnerships.

Held at Kidderminster College, the event saw Foley Grange residents take to the catwalk in outfits selected from clothing generously donated to KEMP Hospice. The show was supported by students from the College, who played a key role in planning and delivering the event.

The fashion show was inspired by Foley Grange resident Isobel Dale, whose long-standing support for KEMP Hospice helped spark the idea for the special fundraising event.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was a bespoke Forget-Me-Not Cape, designed and created by one of our talented students especially for Isobel, recognising both her dedication to KEMP Hospice and the inspiration she provided throughout the project.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon of fashion, refreshments and entertainment, while also taking part in a raffle featuring a range of prizes donated by local organisations and supporters.

Cat Lewis, Principal at Kidderminster College, said:

"This event has been a fantastic example of what can be achieved when education, community organisations and local charities come together. Our students have loved being involved and have gained valuable experience while helping create a truly memorable day. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part."

Anna Burley, Community Fundraising and Events Lead at KEMP Hospice, said:

"We are so grateful to everybody who supported the fashion show, whether by attending, volunteering, donating prizes or taking part. The event showcased the strength of our local community and the funds raised will support KEMP's vital work for local patients and families."

Beth Phillips, Home Manager at Foley Grange Care Home, said:

"The event was a wonderful experience for our residents, who thoroughly enjoyed being involved. Seeing the confidence, excitement and support shown throughout the day made it incredibly special, and we are delighted to have worked alongside Kidderminster College and KEMP Hospice to make it happen."

The event highlighted the positive impact of bringing different generations together and demonstrated how collaboration across the local community can create meaningful opportunities while supporting important local causes.
