Celebrating our Sporting Successes… 18/05/2022

Previous students of our Sports courses go on to wonderful things! Tutor Verity Perry has shared this amazing photo with us and updated us on the wonderful things these alumni students have progressed to.

 

Bottom Row – Left to Left.

Richard Gibson – Richard achieved a 2:1 degree in Human Nutrition at UCW. Glaxosmithkline the makers of Lucozade, also cited Rich’s dissertation to aid further research into their products.

Rachel James – Rachel studied a nursing degree and went on to become a sister in Critical Care at Queen Elizabeth hospital Birmingham. Rachel worked tirelessly on a Covid unit from the beginning of the pandemic and witnessed some of the UKs most severe cases.

Athina Jones – Athina worked with the Ministry of Justice and is now a Paramedic for West Midlands Ambulance service.

Sy Ahmed – Sy successfully completed a Physiotherapy degree at Coventry University and now works privately and for the NHS as a Physiotherapist.

Luke Keeling – Luke studied Sports injuries and alongside working with a well-known gym advising clients on health and fitness.

William Lapthorne- William went on to study a degree in Business at University of Kent Medway (ranked one of the top universities in the UK) before travelling and working for a language school. William now has a successful career in financial services.

Verity explained: “Other career pathways of my previous students are now working in a variety of areas including children’s services, PE teachers, Deputy Head Teacher’s and much more! Some have even relocated to places such as Australia and United States of America to play and coach professional soccer.
