There is no limit to the number of apprentices a company can take on (depending on course availability).

At Kidderminster College, we offer a free, professional and friendly service across Worcestershire and beyond to offer apprenticeships for everyone aged 16+. Whether you are an employer or an applicant, our dedicated Apprenticeships Team will give you all the support you need.
Is there any funding available?
Non-Levy paying employers:
- Aged 16-21 fully funded
- Age 22+ a 5% co-investment will be required
Levy paying:
- Fully funded through employer Levy account (checks required/ this depends on how much remains in the account)
Can I upskill my current employees with an apprenticeship?
Yes, you can use apprenticeship training to fill key skill gaps in your business and boost employee motivation by investing in their development.
What age can an apprentice be?
Anyone aged 16 and over could be eligible for an apprenticeship.
How many hours will they be at college, and how many hours will they be at work?
An apprentice will work with the employer four days per week and attend college one day per week.The minimum weekly contracted hours, including the off-the-job training day at college, is 30 hours.
What training will they do at college that’s different from on the job?
Day release ensures that skills, knowledge and behaviours learned on the job are combined with theoretical and practical learning at college.
What is an apprenticeship agreement?
The employer and apprentice sign an apprenticeship agreement before the start of the programme and outlines key details about the apprenticeship. It's a legal requirement and should be in place for the duration of an apprenticeship.
What is an apprenticeship Training Plan?
The apprenticeship Training Plan refers to the planned content and schedule for training detailing what is expected and offered by the employer, the training provider and the Apprentice, as well as how to resolve queries or complaints.
