The IGNITE Fusion Festival returned to Kidderminster College with an unforgettable two-week celebration of performing arts. This event showcased the incredible talent and creativity of our IGNITE Acting, Dance, and Musical Theatre students.
With powerful original performances, striking choreography, and emotionally charged storytelling, Fusion Festival 2025 was a vibrant demonstration of what makes our performing arts programmes stand out.
A Celebration of Creative Collaboration
From contemporary dance and musical theatre to dramatic interpretations and original scripts, each performance highlighted the depth of skill and artistic expression developed at Kidderminster College's Performing Arts Department.
Standout performances included:
🟦 The Last 5 Years – A moving musical by Jason Robert Brown, performed by Ellis Morse and Issy Mann, exploring a relationship through opposing timelines.
🟪 Walking Through the Crossroad – A powerful fusion of acting and dance by Mia Hathaway, exploring grief through raw movement and storytelling.
🟦 The Moirai – A contemporary dance piece inspired by Greek mythology, choreographed and performed by Madeline Holloway and Jessica Bettles.
🟪 Till Death Do Us Part – A reimagined Romeo and Juliet set in the 1960s, written by Willow Harris and Evie Richards, blending love, rebellion, and class division through music and dance.
These student-led performances were technically impressive and emotionally resonant, reflecting our learners' growth, resilience, and creativity. Every movement was a tribute to the hard work, passion, and dedication that goes into studying the performing arts.
