Do you have a passion for motor vehicles? Are you interested in manual work and have an eye for detail and colour? An Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body & Paint could be for you. Intermediate Level apprentices will train as technicians repairing and restoring body and paintwork. You will learn how to recognise the various materials used on vehicles and the preparation that is needed to be done before applying the paints and finishes.
An Apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn and provide you with a route into your chosen industry. You will be employed as an apprentice, building up the required knowledge and skills needed to become a vital member of the team. You will work towards a relevant qualification which will let future employers know you have been trained in the skills they need.

An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body & Paint lasts 24 months.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body & Paint lasts 24 months.
For the Intermediate Apprenticeship there are no formal entry requirements but basic Literacy and Numeracy skills are essential and you must enjoy working in a practical environment and show a clear desire to progress a career in this area of work.
For the Advanced Apprenticeship a prior Level 2 relevant qualification and expected Grade 4 (C or above) in GCSE maths & English or equivalent is essential.
The qualifications are delivered through weekly day release, assessment in the workplace and self-study.
Functional skills, if required.
