Kidderminster College have recently been working with a local primary school from Stourport-on-Severn to inspire Year 5 pupils about their future careers.
At the end of last term, departments from across the college ran information stands with ‘have a go’ activities to give Year 5 a taste of different careers, including Electrical Installation, Hair & Beauty, Games Design and Creative Industries. The event was a great success as the first ever Careers Morning at Burlish Park Primary, and the first careers day that the college have organised at a Primary School.
Deputy Headteacher Heather Lindley, stated, ‘Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the morning and gained a lot from the experience’.
Year 5 were inspired to find out more about Games Design and came in to college for a computing workshop before the summer break. Please see the collage below created by the school.
