Our Performing Arts qualifications are aimed students that have been unsuccessful in gaining the entry requirements for a Level 3 programme but, wish to pursue their study in the Creative Industries with the aim of gaining the necessary additional qualification to allow them to hit their personal goals!
On this course, students will work through various units, including Dance, Acting, Business Organisation and Major Performance Processes. You’ll also be able to focus on many different types of transferable skills including leadership responsibilities, constantly improve your social and communication skills and broaden yourknowledge of the arts and the Creative Industries. You will also get to work with our Creative Industries Patron, Mark Lockyer.
The course is very performance based, you’ll be working alongside other Level 2 students, gaining experience and training in all areas of dance, acting and singing. You will also cover a unit in career planning, which will heighten your research skills and promote an understanding of theory.
There are also many other opportunities to gain experience when collaborating and working alongside higher level students when taking part in production processes and extra-curricular activities/classes.
COME & SAY HI:
Now isn’t the time to be shy! It might seem a bit daunting at first, but you should definitely have a chat with the tutors. They know the place best after all, and it gives you a good idea of the sort of people you’ll be taught by and sharing the college with! So, although we can’t do this face-to-face tonight, we’ve got our tutors on standby; book a chat with them now via our link, they don’t bite, we promise!:
This chat can be via Teams or via the phone, it gives you a chance to ask questions ‘in-person’. We’re really sorry but it’s first come, first serve, but we’ll be back again next week, so you can book a slot in for then as well!
We’re also going to be taking over Facebook Live, you can see who is going to be on and when HERE so if you have question, head over to our page and get asking!
