Our Performing Arts qualifications are aimed students that have been unsuccessful in gaining the entry requirements for a Level 3 programme but, wish to pursue their study in the Creative Industries with the aim of gaining the necessary additional qualification to allow them to hit their personal goals!
On this course, students will work through various units, including Dance, Acting, Business Organisation and Major Performance Processes. You’ll also be able to focus on many different types of transferable skills including leadership responsibilities, constantly improve your social and communication skills and broaden your knowledge of the arts and the Creative Industries. You will also get to work with our Creative Industries Patron, Mark Lockyer.
The course is very performance based, you’ll be working alongside other Level 2 students, gaining experience and training in all areas of dance, acting and singing. You will also cover a unit in career planning, which will heighten your research skills and promote an understanding of theory.
There are also many other opportunities to gain experience when collaborating and working alongside higher level students when taking part in production processes and extra-curricular activities/classes.
