Do you love musical theatre and dream of being on the West End or Broadway? Then this course is ideal, offering you training in a professional capacity by industry specialists. In classes and workshops you will gain a strong technical grounding in singing, acting and dance, alongside professional development.
Your skill set will be showcased in a number of productions throughout the course. Large scale productions by IGNITE Musical Theatre students have included Cabaret, Crazy for You, Les Misérables, Anything Goes, Little Shop of Horrors, Spring Awakening, We Will Rock You, Sweet Charity, In The Heights, The Uncastables (Original Musical) and Musical: The Musical (Original Musical).
IGNITE Musical Theatre students and IGNITE Acting students work collaboratively over their 2 years in creating innovative pieces of Contemporary Theatre, fused with dynamic Physical Theatre elements. Past productions have included Caryl Churchill’s ‘A Mouthful of Birds’, Alice Sebold’s ‘The Lovely Bones’, Jim Cartwright’s ‘ROAD’ and a stage adaptation of John Hughes’ 80’s cult-classic ‘The Breakfast Club’.
