You work at a children’s petting farm. The farm has recently converted an old cattle shed in to a petting barn. The farm currently allows visitors to stroke and feed animals such as horses, cows, sheep, goats and llamas. However the farm wants to incorporate handling and feeding for smaller children to smaller animals.
Once complete, the petting barn will have 10 enclosure spaces to keep 10 or more different animals commonly kept at farms or small zoos. These animals must be animals that can be handled on a regular basis by young and old alike as well as being easy to keep.
Your task is to plan out the small petting barn. You must come up with a minimum of 10 animals. You must research:
What food they require
What bedding (substrate) they require
Any special requirements? (e.g. logs for climbing, hay racks, heating, lighting etc.)
How often they will need cleaning out
What is the minimum enclosure size for this species?
