Do you love acting and dream of being a professional actor, writer or director? Then these intensive Level 3 course is ideal for you! 

Joining IGNITE Acting will offer you training in a professional capacity by industry specialists. Within classes and workshops you will gain a strong technical grounding in acting and performance, alongside professional and personal development. 

SUPPORTED ACTING

This new supported learning programme will run alongside our very successful existing Level 3 in Acting. 

This new strand of the course has been specially designed to accommodate students with specific learning needs. The course will work hand in hand with our outstanding support department and all learners will receive all the support and dedication they need on a regular basis in order to complete their programme. All the units that have been chosen are very specific and sympathetic to learner needs, while at the same time still include all the excitement and variety of a high-powered performing arts course.

There are so many resources out there that we couldn’t narrow them down, so we had a chat with Nigel Holman, who is one of our expert tutors in this area and he has this advice for prepping ready for September:-

• WATCH AS MANY FILMS AS YOU CAN. And make sure that they’re from a variety of genres. This gives an awareness of narrative structure and how actors deliver a rang  of emotions. Also, it is important to have favourite actors to guide your inspiration and use as a template for your journey as an actor.

• Check out MASTER CLASS This is a subscription service but it doesn’t get much better. 

• READ PLAYS. JUST READ A LOT OF PLAYS. LOTS. KEEP READING THEM. THEN READ MORE.

Over the duration of the summer, try and learn as many monologues from the plays you’ve been researching as you possibly can. And remember not to always pick your favourite character, try experimenting, push yourself and get practicing!
