So in this highly competitive industry, we can’t actually pop up some of our Dance tutorials for you to practice over the summer (those will  becoming in your emails very soon). But we have a few videos for you to study and complete a task on!

ONE.

With the two videos listed above students are asked to analyse each piece commenting on the staging (lighting, set and costume), the style of dance involved and discuss how the style is used throughout the piece.  We also want you to analyse the story line and how this is demonstrated throughout paying attention to the characterisation, movement and relationships between the dancers.  

Before analysing the pieces, you should conduct research into the choreographer and discuss their training, movement styles, choreographic intentions and the common themes explored throughout their works.  

TWO.

Each prospective Student will be sent videos of exercises to complete over the summer this consists of Contemporary Dance Technique and Fitness exercises.  So keep an eye on those emails!
