The Intermediate level Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship is suitable for highly skilled staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives.
The Advanced level Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship is suitable for highly skilled staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives. In addition, Lead Adult Care Workers have responsibility for providing supervision, frontline leadership, guidance and direction for others, or working autonomously, exercising judgement and accountability.
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, this Apprenticeship will enable advanced practitioners to achievement management status. The Level 5 Apprenticeship is the CQC’s requirement for registration of managers.

DURATION
An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care lasts between 12 – 18 months.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care lasts between 18 – 24 months.
A Management Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care lasts between 12-18 months.
DELIVERY METHOD
Delivered in the work place by an assessor.
Starts throughout the year.
CONDITIONS
An apprentice must be:
Employed for a minimum of 30 hours.
Paid at least the minimum apprentice wage, currently £3.90 per hour.
Allowed 20% of their contracted hours to be used for Off-the-job Training.
EMPLOYER INCENTIVE PAYMENT
If you employ a 16-18 year old you may be entitled to £1000 government incentive.
