The qualifications you obtain will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a variety of settings from helping people with a particular need to providing vital assistance to healthcare professionals in the care of patients.
The Intermediate Level Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship is suitable for staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives.
The Advanced Level Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship is suitable for staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives. In addition, Lead Adult Care Workers are responsible for providing supervision, front-line leadership, guidance and direction for others, or working autonomously, exercising judgement and accountability.
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Apprenticeship will enable Advanced practitioners to achievement management status. The Level 5 qualification is the CQC’s requirement for registration of managers.

An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care lasts between 12 – 18 months.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care lasts between 18 – 24 months.
The Management Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care last 12-18 months.
There are no formal entry requirements, however individuals must show a keen interest in a career within a care setting and have basic literacy and numeracy. It is however essential that individuals are willing and able to complete the relevant functional skills requirements if not already achieved.
Completion of the Intermediate Health & Social Care Level 2 Apprenticeship is recommended. It is essential that individuals are willing and able to complete the relevant functional skills requirements if not already achieved.
A minimum age of 19 years and minimum Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification are prerequisites. In addition, the applicant must have recent relevant experience of working within Health & Social Care settings.
Delivered in the work place by an assessor.
