Are you a creative person with a passion for hair? Our Hairdressing Apprenticeship will give you the skills, knowledge and experience required to become an excellent stylist at the same time as gaining a nationally recognised hairdressing qualification.

You will be working and earning a wage whilst completing your qualification and receiving both on and off the job training. Working in a service industry, you will meet new people and build up a regular client base providing services such as colouring, cutting and styling hair. This Apprenticeship is a great way to develop a rewarding, long-term career in an exciting and growing sector.

Intermediate (Level 2) (Hair Professional Standard)
Advanced (Level 3) (Hairdressing Framework)

DURATION

An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hairdressing lasts 24 months.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing lasts 18 months.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Intermediate

There are no formal entry requirements, however, applicants must have basic literacy and numeracy skills. You must enjoy meeting and greeting new people and working with hair.

Advanced

GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in maths & English or equivalent is desirable. An interview and trade test with the hairdressing department is essential.

DELIVERY METHOD

Day release college attendance, all qualifications within the Apprenticeship are delivered and assessed in college.
Functional skills if required.

Upon completion of your Apprenticeship, you may wish to progress onto the next level or a career in Hairdressing.
