Property Maintenance Diploma – Level 2

Expanding on the trade skills you learned during Level 1 of this qualification, this course aims to continue developing your wealth of knowledge and practical capabilities in relation to a variety of essential construction trades.

Taking a more in-depth approach, you will be utilising your previously learned skills throughout an assortment of practical applications and scenarios, building on the foundations you have already developed. This Level 2 programme will take you through more advanced techniques throughout each unit area.

On completion of this intensive course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 2 or Level 3 specialism in your chosen area of construction.

    • Advanced principles of construction
    • Tools and equipment essential to building repairs
    • Further painting and decorating skills
    • Advanced level plastering skills
    • Tackling plumbing repairs
    • Carpentry repairs
    • Plastering repairs
  • What are the entry requirements?

    In order to qualify for this diverse qualification, you will need to:

    • GCSE in Maths and English at grade D/3 or above
    • A keen interest in construction
    • Have a strong work ethic
    • Be able to problem-solve
    • Be practically minded

    Eventually, you can apply for a job as:

    • Self-Employed
    • Subcontractor
    • Contracts Manager
    • Senior Manager
  • What qualifications will be gained?

    At the end of this one year programme, you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Multi Skills/Maintenance Operations (Construction)

  • How will this course be delivered?

    This practical based course will be delivered through:-

    • Presentations
    • Task-based exercises
    • Practical demonstrations
    • 1:1 support
    • Tutorials and lectures

     

    This study programme will be taught over 12 hours over three days.

    Practical work will be carried out at our purpose-built Vocational Training Centre, theoretical and background tutorials will take place on our Main Campus.

    Classes generally run between 9am-5pm but may vary. Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Throughout this course, you will be assessed on each unit via:-

    • Practical assignments
    • Coursework
    • Presentations
    • Class work

    You will be awarded a pass or a fail on successful completion of each unit.
