The Level 1 Sport qualification is designed to provide an introduction and understanding of the sports industry, and careers available within the sporting arena. The course will provide you with opportunities to take part and develop your skills in a variety of different sports and help improve your general all round fitness.
You will study a variety of aspects of sport including keeping healthy and active, playing sport, training for fitness, coaching skills, working with others, research topics and organisational skills. You will receive tutorials throughout your course which also include English and maths tuition as required.
Successful completion of the course will provide you with the opportunity to progress on to the Level 2 Sport or similar course.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. You will be required to attend an interview.

Level 1 BTEC in Sport
The course will be delivered over 3-4 days and will take place at the main Kidderminster College campus or nearby facilities.
Continual assessment based on essays, practical activity in different sports and activities. Group tasks and presentations.

Progression to Level 2 Sport or similar could be available on completion of this course.
