This is an ideal qualification for those interested in a career within the Uniformed Services, such as the Fire Service, Police or Military. You will study topics like crime and its effects on society, improving health & fitness and employment in the uniformed services.
You'll participate in a diverse range of theoretical and practical activities ranging from fitness testing and training to government policies and the management of major incidents.
Visits are made to army barracks, RAF bases and training grounds so that students can develop a better understanding of what it means to represent the uniformed services.
Physical fitness is very important in many of these roles, along with good communication, team working and problem-solving skills. We use a number of facilities in the local area

This study programme will be taught over 12 hours over four days and will be delivered at Kidderminster College Main Campus and at a number of sporting facilities within the local area.
Classes generally run between 9am-5pm but may vary.
Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.
You will be required to complete a work experience placement, which the college will organise for you, of a minimum of 180 hours across the academic year.
