The MAS Records Artist Development - Music Performance strand is a highly popular, industry-led course, which offers students the opportunity to develop the essential skillset and sector specific knowledge to work within the music industry. Students study under industry specialist staff, who have many years of experience in writing, performing, recording and releasing music in a wide range of genres and are currently professionally active. Level 2 music requires no formal qualifications.
Working in the music industry requires a wide range of skills and many professional musicians are successful because they are competent in multiple areas of the industry. Our course recognises this and as well as studying performance and technique classes to improve your instrumental or vocal abilities, you will also study music history, the music business and music production.
The course is aimed at Students of all ages and levels of experience that have ability or experience in Music Performance. This course will develop your music performance skills, widening your employability within the music industry.

This course is avaliable as both a Level 2 and Level 3 Extended qualification; our tutors will be able to let you know which level will be the right one for you on interview!

The course is run over 4 days for 17 hours a week.
Classes include studio sessions and practical and workshop-style classes in a Mac suite.
Assessment is continually throughout the year via practical coursework, presentations, written assignments and class work. There is one externally marked unit.
