The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a knowledge-based introduction to teaching and/or training which has no teaching/training practice requirement. Therefore it may be undertaken by candidates who are not in a teaching role.
On successful completion this qualification, you will have a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. You will be able to sequence learning, plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods.

You will be supported to achieve a Level 3 qualification that is most useful in the post-16 education sector. It is a fun introductory course to the wonderful world of teaching and learning-both theory and practical!

You must be 19+ and should ideally have a Level 2 English and maths qualification, or be working towards them.
The qualification allows candidates to progress into employment as teachers/trainers, as well as onto the following qualifications:
City & Guilds 6502 Level 3 Diploma in Education and Training
The course is delivered via part-time attendance of one morning or evening per week currently Wednesday mornings 9.30 -12.30 and evenings 6.00 to 9:00.
All units are internally assessed throughout the course by completion of written assessments. These units are both internally and externally moderated.
