The focus of the Level 2 Diploma for IT Digital Technicians course is on more practical aspects of IT including installing computer hardware, setting up networks and customising software, as well as the role of IT support. This qualification has been designed to provide a good background knowledge of Information Technology, its uses and the role of the IT Technician.
Alongside this there are also mandatory units on Working in the IT Industry and Communicating in the IT Industry, you will be given the opportunity to develop your personal skills and look at employment opportunities within the IT sector and how you can develop the skills you already possess to enable you to get that dream job.
You will be expected to work practically and safely and be able to follow these actions with fully documented evidence of the process. You will need to be prepared and open to develop your communication skills in a variety of ways throughout this Level 2 Diploma.

Classes generally run between 9am-5pm but may vary. Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.
Work experience activities will take place throughout the delivery of this course to prepare you for applying your knowledge and skills outside of Kidderminster College

You will be awarded a Pass/Merit or Distinction for each completed Unit. Once all units are complete, you will receive an overall grade for the course.
