This Level 3 Diploma specialises in Equine Management and is ideal for anyone who wishes to enter the equine industry, whether that be working within the wider allied equine services, the business sector associated with the industry or working hands-on with horses.
Learning and building on the essentials of working with horses, this qualification will focus on planning and carrying out stable yard operations, horse health care, feeding and nutrition and fitting and evaluating tack and equipment.
Over the study period, you'll acquire further practical skills such as working and exercising horses from the ground, horse presentation skills (grooming, clipping, trimming and plaiting) and you'll also learn about horse biology.
Part of this qualification, you'll acquire the skills to undertake equine event management and gain the intrinsic and essential knowledge and understanding about the principles of equitation.

Tackling both practical work and academic theory, you will divide your time between Kidderminster College main campus and our stables in Hartlebury.
And yes, you will have to get involved in mucking out the animals!
Assessment for this Level 3 Diploma will revolve around portfolio work.
