English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Brush up on your English language skills - improve your grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.    Levels to suit everyone from Entry 1 to Level 2. 

  • What will be studied

    English language skills in grammar, reading, writing and speaking and listening.

  • What are the entry requirements?

    No entry requirements, but you will have to complete an initial assessment in order to determine your level.

  • Where does this course lead to?

    Helping the children, speaking to teachers, doctors, etc.  Promotion at work.

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    City and Guilds 3847 Awards in English Skills  (Entry 1 - Level 1)

    Level 1 Functional Skills

    Level 2 Functional Skills

  • How will this course be delivered?

    One session per week for 1.5 hours. We offer classes during the day and in the evening to suit.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Entry Level & Level 1 awards are assessed during lessons - this is not exam-based

    Functional Skills comprises:

    Speaking and listening (assessed in classroom)

    Reading (exam)

    Writing (exam)
