Electrical Installation Diploma – Level 1

Electricians are always in high demand; everyone needs the services of one at some point in their lives and it's a sector that constantly has a high demand for qualified and passionate workers!

Our Level 1 programme has been designed to introduce and develop a range of high basic level skills and a good knowledge of the electro-technical industry. You'll learn how to work safely within the electrical installation trade using modern tools and equipment.

You'll also get to grips basic electrical principles, installation and testing techniques and communication across structure within the industry. Practical elements of this entry level course include constructing and testing electrical circuits covering a range of domestic, commercial and light industrial installations.

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    At the end of this study programme you will gain a Level 1 City & Guilds Diploma in Electrical Installation.

    This programme will be delivered via

    • Presentations

    • Class work

    The study programme is 13 hours a week and also includes a 60 hour mandatory work placement.

    Classes generally run between 9am-5pm but may vary.

    Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.

    All units will either be internally assessed throughout the course via completion of practical tasks or written assignments

    While on the course we would expect you to bring equipment to classes to assist with completing lesson tasks, such as;
