This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment. It will enable learners to gain an understanding of elements including children and young people's development, safeguarding their welfare, and communication and professional relationships.
It is aimed at learners working in support roles within schools and colleges.

You should have a good level of education and the ability to research independently would be beneficial. GCSE English and Maths are desirable although not essential for the course, but will be a requirement for employment or University progression.
Learners can progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning or into the workforce.
Cache Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning
The course is delivered one evening per week, usually Tuesday at 6-9pm. You will be required to complete 12 hours of work experience with children from 5-19 per week
You will complete a range of tasks including essays, individual research, group presentations. Practical skills will be observed in placement.
