This course is delivered on a flexible online basis. The course is designed to increase learner's awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
The course covers understanding behaviour that challenges, understand how to support positive behaviour, effective communication and the management of challenging behaviour as well as understanding the role of reflection, including supporting for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges.
No formal requirements, preferably good levels of Maths, English and ICT.
Learners must meet funding criteria for eligibility.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care sector. It could be useful to learners working in education settings. Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Level 2 qualifications in Mental Health, Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities, Level 2/3 Certificates in Understanding Autism and Level 2/3 qualifications for the Children and Young People's Workforce.

You will complete assessment questions based on the workbook content which will be marked by your tutor/assessor. Knowledge tasks are set through the workbook, these will not be formally marked.
