The role of an accountant is vast, they record, classify, summarise, interpret and communicate all the financial information about a business, without which, that business would fail to run.  

This Level 2 Diploma aims to help you take your first steps onto a lucrative career ladder; delivering a solid foundation in finance administration covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping and basic costing principles, alongside complementary business communications and personal skills.

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    At the end of the study period, you will achieve a AAT Foundation Diploma in Accounting and Business - Level 2.

  • How will this course be delivered?

    This course is delivered over three days per week through different methods including:

    • Structured class lessons
    • Presentations
    • Practical Activities and discussions
    • 1:1 support
    • Tutorials
    • Group work
    • Work experience

    You will study up to a maximum of eighteen hours per week over three days.

    Classes generally run between 9am-5pm but may vary. Timetables will be given to all students during enrolment and induction week.

    As part of this course, you will be required to undertake 3 weeks (3 days per week) work experience within the accounting environment. This placement will be organised by the college.
