Our Childcare Apprenticeships are an excellent route into a rewarding career in the Childcare sector with real opportunities to progress. You will receive both on and off the job training and gain the relevant skills, knowledge and certification to excel. It is suitable for apprentices working in roles such as Childcare Assistants working in playgroups, day nurseries, pre-school, primary schools and children’s centres.
You will receive a nationally recognised qualification upon completion.
Intermediate (Level 2)
Advanced (Level 3)
An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Childcare lasts 12 months (15 months if term time only)
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Early Years lasts 18 months (21 months if term time only)
GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in maths & English or equivalent is desirable, apprentices should have some previous experience working with children, for example work experience, baby-sitting etc.

Apprentices must attend college a day or half a day per week depending on their functional skills requirements.
The qualifications are delivered through weekly classroom taught sessions (term time), assessment in the workplace and self-study.
