Sharon Harwood completed our Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2 and level 3 at Kidderminster college.
Sharon’s work experience was two years working within a primary school setting in Year 3/4 and Year 1.
Sharon completed her course in June 2019 and has since gained employment. “I decided to focus on finding employment as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for children with Autism, ADHD etc. I completed a SEND Diploma and then applied at a local Primary School to support a child in Year 3. I have been there since September 2020 and I’m pleased to say that I will remain in post as a 1:1 for next school year too”.
Sharon thought that the Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification provided her with a variety of skills;
“The course enabled me to meet the needs in order to change my career. The lessons were relaxed, well presented and delivered at a manageable level so I could continue successfully with my then employment and that my family life was not affected”.
