Sam Morgan began his Accountancy Apprenticeship through Kidderminster College and progressed from his Advanced to his Higher Apprenticeship, and is now employed at Tatton Hall Homes as a Finance Assistant.
When Sam had completed his A-Levels, including an Accountancy A-Level, he started an Advanced Accountancy Apprenticeship with a Facility Management Company, before moving on to a Higher Apprenticeship with Tatton Hall Homes.
Sam said: “It was while I was studying my A-Levels at King Edwards V1 College that I researched future career paths. As I was studying A-level Accountancy I attended three day insight into accountancy which confirmed my career path. It was also here I learnt about the Accountancy Apprenticeship route.”
“When I had completed my A-levels I joined a Facility Management Company as an Advanced Accountancy Apprentice. This gave me a professional start in my working life and experience of Sage. I moved employer to gain more experience and a role that would support me through my Higher Apprenticeship and my professional qualifications.”
I assist the Financial Director, a role that is as broad as it sounds. I am getting experience in all aspects of finance within the business and have responsibility for ledgers up to trial balance level.”
John Holder, Financial Director of Tatton Hall Homes said: “Tatton Hall Homes are growing with a turnover of £7 .5 million this year, forecast to increase to £37 million in 5 years. Looking at succession planning we realised we needed to build our middle management team.”
