Richard Johnson studied a BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism at the College and was so successful that he then gained a place at University College Birmingham to study for a degree in (BA) Hon(s) Hospitality Business Management.
Richard’s degree study included a 48-week placement at luxury hotels in Dubai helping him on his way to secure a marketing executive position in the travel and tourism industry.
He said: “I wouldn’t be where I am now without the college and its support services and I can’t thank them enough. The prospectus said the course could lead to a degree and a job as a marketing executive and how right that has proved to be. The course provided a fantastic platform for me to develop and progress towards getting a degree and then a job in the area I wanted.”
