Following a life threatening illness in childhood, Macey fought relentlessly against concentration and short term memory difficulties to comfortably secure a level 4 in GCSE English Language.
“I was always impressed by Macey’s incredulous thirst for knowledge and desire for constructive feedback to improve her English skills,” (Charlotte Mensah).
Macey’s journey was by no means easy. Yet she remained undeterred by a disappointing result in the November resit and refused to allow this ‘bitter blow’ to phase her. Rather, Macey continually strove to progress, grabbing every opportunity afforded to her within and outside of formal lessons to better her result. A prime example of how resilience and hard work pays off!
