Bushra Begum [ESOL]

Bushra is originally from Bangladesh and arrived in the UK in 2005 at the age of 16.  She started learning English, but then started a family and found it difficult to study while her children were young.  She joined our ESOL classes 3 years ago and hasn’t looked back since!

She attends 2 classes per week, one in the College and one in a community setting.  She has attained an excellent level of spoken English and has really improved her grammar and reading and writing skills, passing all her qualifications so far.  She has recently been successful in passing her driving theory test and is taking lessons, her goal is to pass soon.

Bushra is ambitious and is working hard now to enable her to get a job in the future, she has also volunteered in her children’s primary school in order to gain experience.  She also wants to continue with her English studies.

She said, “I have a learned a lot and am enjoying my classes.”

She is an excellent role model for her classmates and her community.
