Our Apprenticeships in Business and Administration will help and support you to play an important role within a range of business environments. The Apprenticeship provides you with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to undertake relevant business administration tasks.
You will develop your knowledge and skills when dealing with day to day administration tasks, such as providing and managing information, producing documents, postal/written/telephone communications, using databases and diary systems, taking minutes, handling mail as well as gaining on the job experience through your employer. Your exact duties will vary dependant on your employer’s requirements.
Intermediate apprentices may work in roles such as administrators, office juniors, receptionists/medical receptionists, junior legal secretaries or junior medical secretaries.
Advanced apprentices may work in roles such as administration executives/officers, administration team leaders, personal assistants and secretaries, including legal or medical secretaries.
Intermediate (Level 2)
Advanced (Level 3)
An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration lasts 12 months.
An Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration lasts 18 months.
No formal entry requirements. However you must possess basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills and a demonstrable interest in working in a business environment.
GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in maths & English or equivalent is desirable. A desire to work in a professional office environment and to progress a career in this area.
College attendance for approximately 25 weeks or until all exams, workbooks and functional skills are complete.
One to one meetings with an assessor in the workplace.
Functional skills (if required) will be delivered as extra hours on their college day
POSSIBLE CAREERS/PROGRESSION ROUTES
Upon completion of your Apprenticeship, you may wish to progress from Level 2 to Level 3 leading onto a career path in Business Administration.
