On Thursday 6th June we’ll be hosting the annual Team KC Awards…recognising various learners and staff at Kidderminster’s Town Hall. The nominations are now open.

Nominations close on Wednesday 22nd May, winners will be notified by Friday 24th May.

 

LEARNER CATEGORIES

Outstanding Achievement

An individual who has demonstrated ongoing commitment and achieved excellent results.

(1 winner per area: SIF, CTC and Apprenticeships)

 

Outstanding Achievement in Higher Education

An individual who has demonstrated ongoing commitment and achieved excellent results in Higher Education.

 

Outstanding Improvement

An individual who has achieved significant progress through sustained effort.

(1 winner per area: SIF, CTC and Apprenticeships)

 

Learning Champion

A learner whose support and encouragement has helped others to succeed.

 

College Ambassador of the Year

This award recognises a learner who has helped showcase Kidderminster College and/or their course within the community.

 

Employer of the Year

An employer who has demonstrated excellent support and engagement with the College in developing their employees.

 

STAFF CATEGORIES

 

Excellence in Supporting Our Learners

For this category we are particularly interested in recognising support staff and tutors who have worked collaboratively, with multiple agencies (e.g. Local Authorities) to ensure that their learners who have additional needs have received exceptional supported to achieve their full potential.

 

Excellence in Enriching the Learner Experience

In this category we are looking for activities and/or events which have encouraged learners to really blossom as individuals. These activities have enriched the learning experience and may have had a significant impact in one or more of the following areas: promoting British values, equality of opportunity and the celebration of diversity, keeping safe and healthy in an ever-changing society, building self-confidence and independence embedding ‘Student as Producer’ and encouraging students to be cocreators of new knowledge etc.

 

Excellence in Internal Customer Experience

 This category recognises a colleague who has demonstrated real support in developing and inspiring others, by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, coaching or mentoring or playing a pivotal role in a team. This could include supporting someone undergoing training, a qualification, professional development or within a new role.

 

Excellence in our Values – Valuing our People

This category looks for examples of where a colleague has demonstrated real personal accountability and a ‘can-do’ approach with a workplace situation. Remaining focused, even if faced with barriers to deliver a successful outcome.

 

Excellence in our Values – Taking Ownership

This category looks for examples of where a colleague has demonstrated real personal accountability and a ‘can-do’ approach with a workplace situation. Remaining focused, even if faced with barriers to deliver a successful outcome.

 

Excellence in our Values – Being Open and Honest

This category looks for an example where a colleague has shown a truly collaborative approach within their work area or project. They have worked with others, sharing good practice, learning or insight to achieve a successful outcome.

Excellence in Teaching

This category recognises great practice in teaching, within any classroom based programmes. For this category, we would like to invite nominations from learners, employers or colleagues.
