VTCT Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2

Aims of the Course

To provide students with all the necessary skills to gain employment Beauty Therapist.

Course Content

• Reducing Risks to Health & Safety
• Salon Reception Duties
• Promoting Additional Products/Services to Clients
• Improve and Maintain Skin Condition
• Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments
• Hair Removal Techniques (Waxing)
• Manicures/Pedicures
• Make-up.
Essential Skills will be incorporated in the programme.

Beauty Therapist.

Successful Completion

Could allow you to progress onto Level 3 Beauty Therapy
and higher level beauty courses.

Programme Area: Hair, Beauty, Holistic & Health & Fitness Therapies.
Course Length: One year full time.
Qualifications Needed:

Under 19’s are required to supply evidence of 4 GCSEs grades D or above (English and Double Science are preferable) or NVQ Level 1 Beauty Therapy with appropriate Essential Skills qualifications or equivalent. Mature students
are welcome. A good standard of general education and an understanding of Anatomy and Physiology would be advantageous.
Interview required: Yes.
Fee: £35 admin fee + If you are aged 19+ a fee may be payable - please check with Student Services.
Additional Costs: College uniform (approx. £50) and Level 2 Beauty Therapy equipment kit (approx £100) plus two red lever files.

Qualifications Achieved: NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy
Examination/Assessment Continuous practical assessments, assignments and an external written assessment paper per unit title.
