Progress Reviews and Connexions

Your progress is monitored throughout the year. Progress reviews are a tool to help you focus on achieving your qualifications and goals and also identify areas for improvement. Reviews are despatched to parents/guardians updating them of your progress. You and your tutors work together to ensure you aim to fulfil your potential.

Connexions

If you are 13 – 19, or up to 25 if you have a disability, Connexions is for you.
Connexions helps you find out information about anything affecting you life and gives you the chance to get support and talk things through with a Personal Adviser.

How does Connexions work?

You’ll have your own Personal Adviser (PA). Their job is to talk things through with you and help you sort things out. PAs will listen and want to help you.

How can I see my PA?

PAs are easy to get in touch with. To talk to your PA ask at the College or call into your Connexions Centre.

What can Personal Advisers help me with?

Education, Apprenticeships, Training, Employment, Personal Development, Leisure, Health, Relationships, Sexuality, Housing, Legal Issues, Money matters or Benefits

If you have special needs

If you have a learning difficulty or disability your PA can talk to you about:
• College courses which will meet your needs
• Special programmes which may help if you are going into work
• Other specialist advice and help

Connexions Centres

Connexions centres have information zones that are free for anyone to use. Our books, magazines, CD’s and free internet access give you the up-to-date information you need to help you put your plans into action.
