| Kidderminster College’s Chair of Governors, Harry Grove, presented this year’s awards to students who had excelled in their studies for the 07/08 academic year.
The presentation, which took place on March 19th in the College Theatre, is an annual event to celebrate the achievements of students across all curriculum areas.
The evening was punctuated by video footage of tutors praising their deserving students. Some 30 awards were made in total, ranging from the ‘Endeavour Award’ for a learner with a learning difficulty who has shown a determination to succeed and shown outstanding personal achievement, to ‘Apprentice of the Year’ for the student who has demonstrated an exceptionally high standard of work with their employer.
Principal Andrew Miller also addressed the audience remarking on the amazing talent within the college and endorsed Harry Groves’ words on emphasising the importance of the college’s role in developing post-16 education and training for the communities and employers in the Wyre Forest.
